A set of 4 contemporary baskets that are eco friendly, 100% natural, fair trade… They even fit inside each other to store away neatly when not being used. What more could you ask for?
Each basket has been woven from sustainably sourced hogla fibre, found along the banks of rivers and streams in Bangladesh. When the hogla is wet it can be manipulated into expressive weavings and tapestries, and when it dries it fixes into place forever. Each basket is lined with a removable 100% cotton covering too, meaning that all of the materials used are as natural as they could ever be.

Hundreds of families in Bangladesh rely on jute for a steady income. CORR – The Jute Works was set up in 1973 as a charitable trust, providing women weavers with the training and skills needed to make locally-grown jute products in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
"We are very proud of what my mother did. It would have been quite impossible for me to go to university if there was only my father’s income. I want to stay in the village and teach the children.”
Nargis, the daughter of Firoza Begum - an artisan at The Jute Works
