Tintsaba was founded in 1985 to help the women of rural Swaziland take charge of their lives and become independent, creative, breadwinners.
In the early days there were only 12 local women crafting the products, but now there are 20 master weavers who (over the past 30 years) have trained more than 1,000 women in basket weaving and jewellery making. Tintsaba’s range of handcrafted treasures are now made by women across 26 close-knit artisan groups in Swaziland.
