A truly natural piece of art, this fair trade poncho has been handmade by traditional artisans in Peru. Knitted with a repeating geometric design, hours and hours of intricate work has gone into creating each and every one of these ponchos. It’s designed as one rectangular piece, which is then folder over and stitched, leaving a slit opening for an arm.
Hand knitted from alpaca in natural shades of grey, soft green, teal, and navy, this colour palette has been inspired by the winter mountains in Peru. Alpaca have evolved over thousands of years to life in the Andean mountains, and so their fibre embodies a whole host of unique qualities. Microscopic air pockets provide insulation in winter but give you breathability in summer. It’s lightweight, strong, and unbelievably comforting to the touch.
