Just Trading Scotland (JTS) have been working relentlessly for the past decade to ensure that the producers they work with in Africa and Asia are not simply given a fair price for their goods, but that they are also given a route to market and support for their workers and local communities. Their vision is simple; for a world where inequalities are overcome, and fair trade unlocks the potential of people and communities.

Their main values which underpin everything they do, include trust, justice, quality, empowerment and innovation, whilst always conducting business in a transparent way, according to fair trade principles.

Based in Paisley, in the West of Scotland, JTS are a not for profit fair trade organisation who facilitate the import and distribution of fairly traded products to the UK. They empower and educate their producers and consumers, through the fair purchasing and sale of delicious food products from the developing world. They have a fundamental role in providing sustainable incomes and wellbeing for smallholder farmers, producers and their families; they do this by:

- Promoting Fairtrade and the understanding of Fairtrade through educational work, as well as
- Working in close partnership with other fair trade and development movements, such as Traidcraft!
- Building their UK-based business which clearly embodies their values and focuses on high-quality, fair trade goods.
- Working with producers who are not yet Fairtrade-certified and providing them with development support and market opportunities.

JTS are also very proud of the difference they’ve made closer to home, in Scotland, where they provide meaningful employment and training for all staff and where they sell superb quality fair and ethically traded products, supported by accessible educational materials for our customers.
