Large Charpoy Stool
The design of this handmade wooden bench is based on the style of a traditional woven bed in Southeast Asia. Artisans have tightly woven jute twine to create a robust and strong seat pad. Natural and silver jute combine to create a multi-tonal but natural affect which complements the dark albesia wood base. Every aspect of this fair trade stool has been handmade from natural materials, sourced responsibly and ethically.
Handmade from start to finish, this unique bench is designed for sitting on, using as a footstool, or even using as a quirky side table. The variations in silver and neutral tones used in the jute weave will mean every handmade stool is a little different, and a true one-off.

Prokritee is a fair trade organisation in Bangladesh, supporting over 1,500 artisans to work together with the earth and build a sustainable income. These artisans are most often highly skilled women from disadvantaged rural areas, and without Prokritee’s help they wouldn’t be able to reach much of an audience to sell their products.
