Instructions
The game is based on the legend of Khun Phan, one of Thailand's leading folk characters. Khun Phan's enemy Khun Chang has put him in jail and you must guide Khun Phan past 9 sentries to break out of the jail. The biggest piece of wood represents Khun Phan and the other 9 smaller pieces are sentries. Slide the pieces along until the biggest piece is able to come to rest on the other side to release Khun Phan from jail. There are 10 different forms of puzzle for you to solve.

The YMCA in Chiang Ma, northern Thailand, has been exporting crafts to fair trade organisations since 1982, as well as selling locally. The Y works with more than 50 producer groups in northern, north-eastern and southern Thailand. Many of the producers are women, who earn supplementary income through craftwork.

It is also keen to encourage traditional skills, which are in danger of dying out and to promote environmental awareness. Fair trade provides a significant market for some of the producers linked to the YMCA e.g. ceramic and jewellery makers. Benefits include advance payments and design advice.

The long-term relationship with fair trade organisations is important and also between us and the producers. Nalinee Pussateva, Export Manager, Y Development.
