Traidcraft has worked with Aravali for several years and assists by providing design development and export markets for small family businesses to help maintain a continuous level of sales.
"Ganesh is a colour master and head of the workshop, which he owns. He gets to work early in the morning (around 7.00am) and first prepares the dyes and colours which are needed for the day. The other workers arrive between 8.30am and 9.00am. After explaining the day's work plan to them, he goes to his plot of land to work the fabric. He owns a scooter and hopes to own a jeep sometime. He wants his children to finish high school and says that his son can decide for himself whether he would like to become a printer or not."
