South Africa's Western Cape is well known for its quality wine and it's here that several groups supplying Traidcraft are based. These include the Cilmor estate, where renovation of homes and the building of a crèche have brought major improvements for workers. Cilmor sell to African Terroir, who also run Sonop wine farm based near Paarl, which is the home of Winds of Change wine.

A village and crèche, based on the farm and now owned by its members, benefit from the sale. Their own eight hectares of land is now under vines and through training members are developing new administrative and financial skills.
