Fair Trade Wine
Our Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a 60/40 split, with Cabernet Sauvignon dominant. Blended in the traditional Bordeaux style, this deep red wine has spice and berry flavours, tempered by Merlot's soft tannins and smooth finish, and will age well. Complementary foods include red meats and pasta dishes.

The Pinotage from the Cilmor estate is South Africa's speciality, and is hand-harvested at night to keep the full flavour of the grapes. Characterised by sweet plum, raspberries and a rich smoky flavour, the balanced structure goes well with all meat dishes.

Our 100% Chenin Blanc is an early ripener, harvested in the early hours throughout February to preserve its fruit and flavour. The result is a stylish dry wine with an appealing floral bouquet and crisp citrus flavours; the perfect accompaniment to a summer salad or chicken dish.

Our newest white wine is a Sauvignon Blanc, again hand-harvested at night. Fresh, clear and bursting with gooseberry flavours, this is best served chilled with fish and salads.

Citrusdal Cellars Co-op first began in 1958 and since achieving Fairtrade status its workers have been able to benefit from life skills and training courses, funded by the Fairtrade premium.
