Fair Trade Tea
"There is more income from tea and it is coming all through the year. The benefits from tea have allowed me to build a new house and educate our children."- Aloysius Tibyabako, Uganda

The mountain uplands of Kenya, South West Uganda and Northern Tanzania offer a perfect subtropical climate for growing the finest tea. Tea plants in these regions receive the right amount of rainfall and sunlight to produce the tender, fresh leaves that are blended together for Teadirect - rosy chestnut brew with a warmly comforting aroma and uplifiting flavours.

The tea in Teadirect is produced by one estate in Kenya, two estates in Tanzania and four smallholder tea factories in Uganda. In western Uganda smallholder tea farmers now have a majority ownership of a tea-processing factory. Smallholder farmers in southern Uganda are now working towards factory ownership.
