Ngina Mwasya has been farming in the Kitui area of Kenya since she was a girl. Her crops suffered due to insect infestations and lack of rainfall. The opportunity to join a Traidcraft project meant the chance to train in new techniques to improve her crop.
I joined the cotton project because I believe within the group that I will grow. There has been training in the group. I go because of my stomach, because of my clothes and my husband’s clothes. My family also depend on me. All of them eat from my pot.
