"The fair trade relationship with Traidcraft is remarkable to us through promoting our skills with dignity. This has consistently increased the income of producers and ensured the right of a dignified life." M. Ghayasuddin - Action Bag and Eastern Screen Printers, Bangladesh.
When you order from the Traidcraft range you are helping to change the lives of people in the developing world like Rozina Khatun, one of the women who made some of the beautiful bags in our spring range.
Working for Saidpur Enterprises in Bangladesh means Rozina can sew at home, making it easier for her to take care of her five-year-old son, Subho. Through a monthly saving scheme at work she has also been able to install electricity in her home.
“My son was not reading in the evening because of the light, now he is reading at home,” said Rozina, who has been working for Saidpur Enterprises for four years. “I have been working because of him. I want to give him a higher education. “I am feeling very good and very happy. I have been able to stand on my own feet.”
